CHOPIN’in Ülkesi Polonya'yı Ziyaret Ettik / We Visited Chopin's Country, Poland

We Visited Chopin's Country, Poland

We have shared with you that we hope to take our relationship with Poland, which has been ongoing for years within the scope of the TOVAK International Chopin Academy established within our Foundation, to a further stage by developing new collaborations, especially in the fields of Culture, Art and Education, with the "Letter of Intent" signed between our Foundation and the Ciechanow Museum of Masovian Nobility.

We visited Poland last week with the invitations of the Ciechanow Museum of Mazovian Nobility in cooperation with the Tourism Organization of the Mazovia Region. President of TOVAK International Chopin Academy, Ms. İrena Maria Ülkü, accompanied us during our visit.

During our visit, we had the opportunity to share our experiences in many fields and discuss possible collaborations with the meetings we held, as well as observing the effects of the Ottoman Empire, which had close relations with the country in the 16th and 17th centuries, on Polish culture by seeing the wonderful exhibition of the Ciechanow Museum of Masovian Nobility called "THE ORIENT IN THE POLISH MIRROR - Turkish Influence on Sarmatian Culture". We congratulate the Museum's director, Robert Kolakowski, and the exhibition's curator, Ms. Nina Matczak, once again for this magnificent exhibition.

Apart from these, we had an intense tour and meeting program, every detail of which our friends carefully prepared for us, where we could learn about the history, culture, art and nature of Poland, and we were personally hosted by the administrators of museums and local authorities.

For the extraordinary hospitality they showed us; we would like to express our endless gratitude to Mr. Robert Kolakowski: Director of the Ciechanow Museum of Mazovian Nobility, Ms. Nina Matczak: Curator, Ms. Dorota Zbińkowska: Director of the Tourism Organization of the Mazovian Region, Ms. Iwona Majewska: Deputy Director, Mr. Piotr Kociszewski, who guided us during the Warsaw part of our trip, and Ms. İrena Maria Ülkü: the President of the Chopin International Academy of TOVAK Foundation, who made our relationship possible with Poland and accompanied us throughout the entire trip.
